This role is with a leading Solar and Energy Storage Manufacturer who have a successful track record of global renewable projects spanning over 24 years. They currently have a global annual production capacity of 90GW. They're set to double their US team numbers over the next few years, with solar and energy storage being the focal point for growth, providing immense career advancement potential joining at this pivotal stage. 

Role

They are seeking an experienced Director of Operations and Maintenance to spearhead a team driving renewable PV and BESS solutions. In this highly visible role, you will lead and mentor a team of O&M professionals.

In your role as Director of O&M Service, you'll have a pivotal position in overseeing and optimizing the operations and maintenance tasks for our solar and battery energy storage system. Your main aim will be to ensure the consistent and efficient functioning of the installed systems over their lifespan. Leading a team of professionals, you'll closely collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver exceptional O&M services.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the performance, availability, and reliability of solar and battery energy storage systems. Along with your team, you would be required to establish best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and warranties whilst also overseeing the monitoring and diagnostics of said systems, promptly addressing any performance or operational issues.

As the director, you would be accountable for not only creating and tracking KPI's to evaluate the effectiveness of the O&M activities to identify areas for improvement but also to develop and manage the O&M budget including forecasting and cost control measures. 

Requirements 

  • Proven experience in Operations and Maintenance of solar and battery storage systems with a strong understanding of the industry. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a track record of resolving complex technical issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills, with experience in leading high-performing teams, foster a positive work environment, and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or MBA are a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • A willingness to travel between 15%-25% of the time, as required, to project sites. 
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance procedures related to the operation and maintenance of solar and battery systems.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
