The Role
As a strategic key account leader, you will drive revenue, manage key accounts, and expand market share in utility-scale energy storage, focusing on Power Conversion Systems. The ideal candidate is a proactive sales leader with experience in business development, contract negotiations, and strategic relationship management.
An investment banking background is a strong plus for maintaining high-level customer relationships. This role requires extensive engagement with utilities, developers, and independent power producers to establish long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Growth: Own and achieve revenue, margin, and account development targets for BESS and PCS sales.
Account Management: Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders at utilities, developers, and IPPs.
Market Expansion: Identify and capture new opportunities in emerging energy storage markets.
Product Strategy & Market Intelligence: Gather market data, competitor insights, and industry trends to shape product development.
Brand Building: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to enhance market visibility.
Customer Engagement: Serve as a key liaison between clients and internal technical, product, and marketing teams.
Commercial Leadership: Lead contract negotiations, proposal development, and pricing discussions to secure high-value deals.
Key Qualifications
- 5+ years of direct sales experience in energy storage or solar equipment sales at grid-scale.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen, with a proven track record of closing large-scale deals.
- Deep knowledge of the utility-scale energy storage market and established relationships with key industry players.
- Ability to engage in high-level business development discussions, with an investment banking background as a plus.
- Self-starter with strong initiative, strategic thinking, and results-driven mindset.
- Technical understanding of energy storage systems and PCS is preferred.
