Company Rapidly growing, global leading manufacturer of lithium-ion batteries for EVs and renewable energy that has core values in employee development, sustainability, and diversity.
The company is investing heavily in local manufacturing including the US’s largest battery factory in Arizona where they will make highly innovative technology. The factory will produce enough batteries annually to make 500,000 EVs and power millions of homes.
Role This will be the most senior HR professional at the site reporting to the global Chief Human Resources Officer. The role will begin hands-on as one of the first employees during the early stages of the factory construction, growing to have 20+ direct reports as the factory ramps up to almost 3,000 employees by its completion in 2026.
The role will cover all aspects of HR for the site providing strategic direction and coaching in areas including talent acquisition, staff retention, employee relations, organizational structure, labor law compliance, resource planning, and performance management.
The candidate
Bachelor degree or higher in Human Resources or related discipline
15+ total years of experience including several years of manufacturing experience
Strong leader with 5-10+ years in people management and excellent coaching skills
Open to Sr Manager or Director level depending on candidate’s experience
Experience in union and non-union labor strongly preferred
Strong working knowledge of local, state and federal employment regulations and laws
