The company is investing heavily in local manufacturing including a large multi-billion dollar battery factory in Michigan where they will make highly innovative EV batteries, enough to power several hundred thousand EVs every year.
Role
This will be the most senior HR professional at the site managing a HR team and overseeing 2,000+ temporary and permanent employees.
The role will cover all aspects of HR for the site providing strategic direction and coaching in areas including talent acquisition, staff retention, employee relations, organizational structure, labor law compliance, resource planning, and performance management.
The candidate
- Bachelor degree or higher in Human Resources or related discipline
- 10-15+ total years of HR experience including several years of manufacturing experience
- Strong leader with several years in people management and excellent coaching skills
- Open to Sr Manager or Director level depending on candidate’s experience
- Experience in union avoidance or union environments preferred
- Strong working knowledge of local, state and federal employment regulations and laws
- Experience in a site HR lead at a manufacturing plant overseeing all facets of HR highly desirable
