The Role
The Strategic Key Account Manager is a key member of the sales organization responsible for revenue, margin, and account growth set on an annual basis. This role involves identifying and managing strategic key accounts while fostering long-term partnerships. The candidate will work closely with utilities, developers, and IPPs to drive growth in the utility-scale energy storage market. The ideal candidate must be fluent in Mandarin and English and possess strong business development, negotiation, and customer relationship skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Meet sales targets and drive business growth for BESS and PCS.
Develop and maintain key customer relationships, ensuring long-term engagement with utilities, developers, and IPPs.
Initiate and manage the sales process, responding to inquiries and meeting with clients to present solutions.
Plan and execute key account strategies, aligning resources to achieve sales goals.
Gather and analyze market intelligence, including industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Support marketing efforts by attending trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Drive customer negotiations, including proposal development, pricing, and contract discussions.
Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams, ensuring alignment on product development and future planning.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 5 years of direct sales and marketing experience in the energy storage or renewable energy sector.
Strong understanding of Power Conversion Systems (PCS) and their applications in utility-scale projects.
Established relationships with utilities, developers, and IPPs.
Proven track record in business development, contract negotiations, and sales leadership.
Fluent in Mandarin and English.
Willing to travel extensively (domestic and international).
Self-starter, strong initiative, and results-driven sales professional
