In Savannah, the partnership is building a huge factory to produce 300,000 EVs annually including the batteries. Over 8,000 jobs will be created at this site which will make it one of the top two largest employers in Savannah.
Role This is an opportunity to join as one of the first 10 employees during the early stages of construction of a major EV / battery manufacturing plant. The team will quickly grow to 100+ this year and 1,000+ employees next year.
This position will report to the HR Site Lead and will cover both payroll and benefits. There is high growth potential as the first payroll & benefits employee in a new HR team that will grow quickly. Key responsibilities include:
Process bi-weekly & monthly payroll in ADP
Ensure compliance of payroll with company policy and relevant law
Analyze payroll and provide reports and insights to management
Administrative support to company benefits including health, wellness, and retirement including maintaining records of leave and managing vendor relationships
Participate in annual benefits enrolment activities and meet with employees to explain programs
The candidate
A background in payroll, ideally with experience payrolling shift workers
Knowledge of federal and Georgia state payroll regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
ADP experience preferred, but similar systems will be considered
Benefits experience preferred, but this can be learnt on the job if not
