The Role
As Senior Key Account Manager – C&I Energy Storage, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence in the Commercial & Industrial market across the US. In this role, you will combine your technical sales expertise and strategic growth mindset to position our advanced energy storage solutions as the top choice for C&I customers seeking to reduce operational costs, improve energy reliability, and meet sustainability goals.
You will drive business development efforts, forge strong partnerships with developers, EPCs, and large commercial clients, and establish us as the go-to provider for energy storage solutions in the C&I space.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership: Achieve revenue, margin, and account receivable targets by driving energy storage sales growth across C&I sectors such as data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution hubs, and corporate campuses.
Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with C&I clients, EPCs, and developers by delivering compelling presentations and tailored technical solutions.
Market Strategy: Identify and target customers with complex energy needs who value energy reliability, sustainability, and cost optimization.
Sector Adaptability: Align value propositions with diverse C&I market segments, including energy optimization, peak shaving, and backup power solutions.
Product Marketing: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to refine solutions based on customer feedback and market demands.
Brand Development: Represent the company at industry trade shows and forums, elevating our presence in the C&I energy storage market.
Internal Communication: Provide market insights and updates to HQ and senior leadership to inform strategy and product development.
Key Qualifications
Industry Expertise: 5+ years of sales experience in the energy storage, renewable energy, or electromechanical products sectors, with a strong focus on C&I customers.
C&I Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the energy challenges faced by C&I sectors, including peak demand management, energy resilience, and sustainability goals.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to conduct technical conversations with customers on energy storage systems and integration.
Strategic Thinker: Proven ability to identify and develop new market opportunities and deliver customer-focused solutions.
Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term partnerships with key stakeholders, including facility managers, developers, and EPCs.
Self-Motivated: Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet customer needs and attend industry events.
