The Role
As Senior Key Account Manager – Utility Energy Storage, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our energy storage business by establishing and maintaining strategic relationships with major utilities, developers, and IPPs.
You will lead sales efforts for our advanced utility-scale energy storage solutions, ensuring we deliver unmatched value to meet the energy reliability and sustainability goals of large-scale customers. You will also contribute to business development in emerging market segments and help refine product strategies based on market insights.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue & Partnership Growth: Achieve revenue, margin, and account receivable targets by managing key accounts and building long-term partnerships with utilities, developers, and IPPs.
Business Development: Identify and capture new market opportunities for utility-scale energy storage systems, including emerging markets and applications.
Product Strategy: Provide feedback to the product team on market needs, trends, and evolving standards to refine our turnkey utility-scale solutions.
Market Insights: Gather and analyze industry trends, competitor insights, and regulatory developments to inform sales strategy.
Brand Building: Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to enhance brand recognition.
Internal Communication: Provide regular reports on sales progress, customer feedback, and market insights to HQ.
Collaboration: Work closely with technical, marketing, and product teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
Key Qualifications
Industry Expertise: 5+ years of direct sales and marketing experience in the energy storage or renewable energy sector, with a focus on utility-scale solutions.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of utility energy storage market dynamics and established relationships with key players, including utilities, developers, and IPPs.
Product Savvy: Ability to understand and communicate technical product requirements to internal teams and customers.
Technical Aptitude: Capable of conducting basic technical discussions on energy storage systems with customers.
Presentation Skills: Able to effectively communicate the value of turnkey energy storage solutions to key stakeholders.
Self-Motivation: Self-starter and continuous learner with a high degree of initiative.
Travel Flexibility: Willing to travel up to 50% to meet customer needs and attend industry events.
