In Savannah, the partnership is building a huge factory to produce 300,000 EVs annually including the batteries. Over 8,000 jobs will be created at this site which will make it one of the top two largest employers in Savannah.
Role Opportunity to join as one of the first 10 employees during the early stages of construction of a major EV / battery manufacturing plant. The team will quickly grow to 100+ this year and 1,000+ employees next year.
This position will report to the HR Site Lead. It will work in close partnership with internal customers and external service providers to recruit for both hourly and salaried positions. Responsibilities:
Work closely with internal staff to identify specific needs and create annual hiring plan
Source and interview job applicants for exempt and non-exempt positions
Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources
Assist in developing compensation structure, job documentation, job evaluation systems, and salary survey questionnaires
Foster a highly desirable and inclusive workplace
Assist in development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
The candidate
Bachelor in HR, Business, Communications or similar, or PHR certification, preferred
Background in recruiting and compensation analysis within manufacturing industry
Experience in high volume mass hiring preferred
Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential information
Positive attitude and demonstrated effectiveness in accomplishing goals
Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
Able to work flexible hours occasionally to support production team
Experience in internal and external recruitment would be a plus
