The Company:
One of the top global BESS players, having deployed over 20 GWh of energy storage across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Known for its advanced technology, it offers highly modular systems powered by a proprietary AI-driven EMS. Their vertically integrated model includes in-house manufacturing of PCS, battery modules, and packs. Recently listed on the stock market due to its strong track record, the company is financially robust and continuing to expand rapidly across the US. With a growing pipeline of both C&I and utility-scale projects, the business is continuing to build out its project delivery team across the Americas. The culture is meritocratic, technically focused, and built around people who genuinely care about delivering projects well, continuing to learn, and developing their project management careers over the long term.
The Role:
Join the company’s US project management team and take ownership of the delivery and execution of BESS projects across the Americas. The role will support projects from initial kickoff through installation, commissioning, acceptance, and final handover, working closely with customers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Service, vendors, and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle. Projects will span both C&I and utility-scale BESS, including projects reaching several hundred MWh. This is a remote US-based role with approximately 20–25% travel for project sites and customer meetings. The company is open to different experience levels, with scope to hire from Project Manager through Senior Project Manager depending on background and capability. Key responsibilities:
Lead or support BESS projects from project kickoff through commissioning and final handover.
Own project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and key action items.
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Service, and wider project teams to keep delivery on track.
Support day-to-day customer communication and provide clear project updates throughout execution.
Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and external partners across project activities and timelines.
Support site readiness, equipment delivery, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
Ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements, internal processes, and safety standards.
Work across global teams, including regular interaction with colleagues based internationally.
The Candidate:
2+ years of project management, project coordination, or relevant project delivery experience.
Experience within BESS is highly desirable, although candidates from solar, wind, microgrids, power systems, EPC, or wider renewable energy backgrounds will also be considered.
Experience working for a BESS OEM, EPC, developer, IPP, utility, or systems integrator would be highly relevant.
Comfortable supporting projects across multiple stages, including engineering, procurement, site activity, commissioning, and handover.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, technical teams, vendors, and international stakeholders.
Organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities, project risks, deadlines, and changing requirements.
Bachelor’s degree required, ideally within Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline. A Master’s degree would be advantageous.
PMP certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Mandarin language skills would be a significant advantage.
Willingness to travel approximately 20–25% across the US.
