The Company
This U.S.-based leader in grid-scale battery storage is positioned to become one of the most dominant companies in the American energy market. Backed by a global clean energy powerhouse, they combine advanced engineering expertise with cutting-edge manufacturing capacity, including a growing domestic footprint. With a 35 plus GWh project pipeline and more than 230 professionals already on board, their U.S. division is scaling fast, and they are now hiring EHS Specialists to support the safe construction of some of the largest and most advanced BESS projects in the world.

The Role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be based on site supporting the operation and maintenance of grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems in remote locations. Working under the guidance of a Field Service Engineer, this is a hands-on, outdoor role focused on preventive and corrective maintenance across BESS equipment, including power conversion systems, fire suppression systems, and associated electrical and mechanical components.

This position is well suited to electrically minded technicians who may not yet have direct BESS experience but have spent time in hands-on roles involving electrical systems. You’ll be involved in routine inspections, component replacement, basic fault finding, data collection, and documenting work completed using digital systems. Safety is central to the role, particularly when working around high-energy systems, lockout procedures, and elevated platforms.

These are contract Field Service Technician roles supporting critical energy storage assets as they move into operational phases. The work is practical and delivery-focused, with a strong emphasis on following procedures, working safely, and developing hands-on technical skills within a fast-growing sector of the U.S. energy market.

Responsibilities Include:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on BESS equipment, PCS, and fire suppression systems
• Supporting troubleshooting activities and replacing components as required
• Conducting routine inspections and collecting operational data
• Interfacing with HMIs and computer-based monitoring systems
• Completing digital work orders, reports, and photo documentation
• Operating tools and equipment required for site maintenance activities
• Working safely at height and around energized systems under supervision
• Following all safety procedures and escalating issues when required
• Supporting Field Service Engineers and site leadership with general maintenance activities

The Candidate

• 1+ year of experience in a hands-on, electrically focused role
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and electrical safety principles
• Comfortable using basic test equipment such as multimeters or similar tools
• Practical, hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies
• Comfortable working outdoors and in remote site environments
• Able to follow procedures and work safely around energized systems under supervision
• Basic computer skills and confidence using digital systems for reporting and documentation
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to site locations as required
