As demand from AI and hyperscale data centers puts increasing pressure on grid capacity, power quality, and reliability, the company is expanding its engineering team to support the next phase of storage-backed data center infrastructure.
This role sits within one of the fastest-growing areas of the energy storage market, at the intersection of BESS, inverters, controls, grid stability, and data center power systems.
The Role:
Support the company’s continued growth in the data center market by acting as a technical and customer-facing lead for BESS solutions.
The Senior Sales Engineer will sit between customers, engineering, and commercial teams, bringing technical depth to early-stage data center opportunities and helping shape how storage is applied to major data center infrastructure.
This is not a pure sales role. The successful candidate will need to speak credibly about BESS, inverters, controls, grid requirements, data center power systems, UPS infrastructure, power quality, harmonics, and system-level performance.
The role is well suited to someone technical who enjoys working closer to customers, attending industry events, discussing market trends, and helping customers understand how energy storage can solve complex power and grid challenges.
Key responsibilities:
- Support early-stage technical discussions with data center customers, developers, and infrastructure partners.
- Act as a technical link between customers, sales, engineering, product, and project teams.
- Help shape BESS solutions for data center applications, including technical scope, system requirements, and customer needs.
- Explain technical concepts around inverters, controls, grid interaction, power quality, system stability, and BESS performance.
- Support customer meetings, workshops, conferences, and market-facing discussions.
- Work with internal teams to evaluate customer requirements and guide appropriate technical solutions.
- Support proposal activity, technical positioning, and early-stage opportunity development.
The Candidate:
- Strong experience across BESS, inverters, controls, data center power systems, UPS, power systems, or grid-connected electrical infrastructure.
- Experience in a Sales Engineer, Applications Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Power Systems Engineer, Controls Engineer, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong understanding of how inverters interact with the grid, ideally including controls, power quality, harmonics, and system-level behavior.
- Data center power systems experience is highly relevant, although strong BESS, inverter, or controls experience will also be considered.
- Experience working with data center developers, hyperscalers, EPCs, engineering consultancies, utilities, or large energy users would be valuable.
- Must be technically credible and comfortable speaking with both customer and engineering audiences.
- Electrical engineering background strongly preferred.
