The Company
A market leader in the U.S. energy storage industry, generating multi-billion-dollar annual revenue and continuing to scale rapidly across utility-scale storage, power infrastructure, and advanced industrial products.
Fully vertically integrated across hardware, software, engineering, manufacturing, and deployment, all based in the U.S., the company offers a rare opportunity to influence how some of the world’s largest energy storage fleets are supported over the long term. The environment combines technical depth, speed, and high accountability, with significant ownership given to individuals who can turn operational, contractual, and customer requirements into scalable service products and systems.
The Role
As Senior Product Manager, Certified Service Provider, Energy Services, you will own the strategy and roadmap for a global service partner model supporting utility-scale and commercial BESS.
The business operates two broad service models. In one, the OEM provides the full service offering, including warranties and ongoing support. In the second, approved third parties or vertically integrated utilities can perform service themselves through a Certified Service Provider model.
This role will own and scale that second model.
You will define how service partners are certified, trained, measured, and supported, while also shaping the tools, software, and processes they use to dispatch, document, and complete service work. The role sits at the intersection of product, field service operations, software development, asset management, and partner management.
Responsibilities Include:
• Owning the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for a global Certified Service Provider program
• Defining certification standards, training pathways, service requirements, and partner performance criteria
• Developing product requirements for portals, work-order systems, reporting tools, and other software used by certified service partners
• Establishing SLAs, scorecards, quality standards, and recertification processes across the partner network
• Working with project finance and asset management teams around warranties, performance guarantees, and long-term service agreements
• Managing relationships with third-party vendors, contractors, service organizations, and vertically integrated utilities
• Defining data and reporting requirements so service activity feeds into fleet health, reliability, and warranty analytics
The Candidate
• 5+ years of experience across product management, service operations, asset management, or a related function within BESS, renewable energy, or another complex industrial sector
• Direct experience with utility-scale BESS through operations, service, asset management, or long-term support
• Background managing third-party service providers, contractors, vendors, or certified partner networks
• Experience with warranties, LTSAs, performance guarantees, service agreements, or the economics of maintaining industrial assets
• Comfortable translating operational, contractual, and financial requirements into clear product and software requirements
• Strong understanding of how service organizations operate in the field, including dispatch, work orders, documentation, parts, and service quality
• Engineering, Business, or related degree preferred
• Willing to work from Palo Alto, California and travel domestically and internationally as required
The team is considering candidates at differing seniorities depending on experience, technical depth, and product ownership.
