As battery storage continues to scale across the U.S., the focus is shifting from simply deploying assets to maximizing their performance and revenue in increasingly complex wholesale electricity markets.

This team sits at the center of that shift, driving the adoption of advanced optimization platforms that enable storage assets to operate dynamically and capture value across multiple revenue streams.

The Role

This is a commercial leadership role focused on selling energy-optimization services to utility-scale BESS projects across the Americas.

You will own the full deal lifecycle. From market engagement and pipeline development through to structuring, negotiation, and contract execution, working with IPPs, developers, and utilities at the forefront of energy transition.

The role sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, market intelligence, and technical solution selling, requiring a deep understanding of how storage assets participate in wholesale electricity markets.

What You’ll Do

Lead commercial engagement with IPPs, developers, and utilities to drive adoption of energy optimization services across utility-scale storage portfolios

Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of opportunities across multiple markets, owning deal progression from origination through to close.

Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including optimization services contracts aligned to different offtake models (merchant, tolling, hybrid structures)

Educate customers on revenue optimization strategies, market participation, and the value of software-driven dispatch.

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (sales, product, engineering) to define commercial offerings, pricing strategies, and contract structures.

Support tender processes and strategic bids, contributing to positioning and differentiation in competitive processes.

Analyze market dynamics, revenue streams, and regulatory frameworks to inform go-to-market strategy and identify new opportunities

Provide ongoing market intelligence to internal stakeholders, shaping product development and commercial strategy.


Required:

5+ years of experience in business development, commercial, or sales roles within the energy sector

Strong understanding of U.S. electricity markets and BESS revenue models (merchant, tolling, ancillary services, value stacking)

Proven track record of owning and closing complex deals, including contract negotiation

Experience managing the full sales lifecycle, from pipeline creation through to execution

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with high levels of ownership

Highly valued:

Experience with energy optimisation platforms, trading, or asset dispatch

Background in utility-scale storage, renewables, or power markets

Strong analytical capability across project economics, pricing models, and risk analysis
Experience working with IPPs, utilities, or developers in North America
