We are hiring for a Employee Relation Specialist for a global leader in advanced lithium-ion battery manufacturing. This global business is at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution and the transition to renewable energy. The Role

As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will serve as a key advisor and liaison across multiple North American production sites including joint ventures managing labor relations, advising on collective bargaining, and driving best practices in workplace resolution and compliance. Working closely with global headquarters and US operational teams, you will help ensure consistent, compliant, and strategic labor and employee relations across a fast-scaling manufacturing footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert analysis, coaching, and training on employee relations, compliance, and organizational effectiveness
  • Lead and support labor relations strategies across US sites and joint ventures
  • Advocate for the company in grievance hearings and arbitration as needed
  • Maintain grievance and bargaining history, labor statistics, and reporting
  • Conduct workplace investigations and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws
  • Design and deliver training for management and supervisors on labor relations topics
  • Represent the company in external forums and internal labor committees
  • Support site-level implementation of 5S3R principles (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain | Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)

The Candidate

  • 3+ years of direct labor relations experience in a manufacturing environment, including unionized hourly workforces
  • Strong legal knowledge of US labor law and collective bargaining practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Able to travel freely and on short notice domestically and internationally
  • Experience working with international teams or global HQs preferred

  • Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive situations
  • Analytical thinker with strong reporting and presentation capabilities

Preferred Skills

  • Automotive or energy industry experience
  • HR certifications (PHR, SPHR) or labor relations certifications
  • Bilingual or cross-cultural experience is a plus
