The role
As Head of LATAM Solutions Engineering, you will build and lead the region’s technical solutions function from scratch, driving growth across multiple markets. You’ll manage and mentor a team of solutions engineers while personally overseeing key client engagements, ensuring the delivery of competitive and technically robust BESS solutions. Acting as the bridge between sales, engineering, and customers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how the company scales in Latin America.
Key responsibilities
Build and lead the LATAM solutions engineering team across Brazil, Chile, Mexico, and other target markets.
Define team processes, technical standards, and best practices to ensure scalable growth.
Review ESS project RFPs, specifications, and customer requirements to define technical deliverables.
Collaborate with sales and engineering to develop competitive proposals and system solutions.
Support project execution by overseeing BOS design, engineering studies, and EPC-level design inputs.
Provide technical leadership at client meetings, conferences, and trade shows across the region.
Ensure compliance with relevant standards (UL, IEEE, IEC, NEC, NFPA).
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in power, renewable energy, or energy storage.
Technical expertise in utility-scale ESS projects, from design through execution.
Degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred).
Proven leadership experience — building, managing, and scaling technical teams.
Strong presales background, including system sizing, proposal development, and contract technical reviews.
Fluent in Spanish and English (Portuguese advantageous)
