The role As the HSE site team expands to support a facility scaling from 150 to over 1,200 employees, this role is critical to building a strong foundation for environmental, health, and safety excellence. You will lead the development and execution of comprehensive safety, health, and fire prevention programs while ensuring operational continuity and compliance during a period of rapid growth and increased complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead plant-wide environmental, health, and safety initiatives, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
Oversee ISO 45001 certification and facilitate site-wide safety and compliance training.
Manage hazard identification processes and corrective action tracking for all operational and administrative areas.
Conduct equipment and ergonomic risk assessments, line walks, and incident investigations.
Develop and deliver safety training for new hires and contractors; support emergency and fire brigade readiness.
Serve as a liaison with global EH&S counterparts to align standards and share best practices.
Ensure site-wide compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and IFC regulations.
Essential requirements
3+ years (Specialist level) / 7+ years (Senior Specialist level) of EH&S experience
Background in manufacturing or construction related industries
Experience in fire, occupational safety, hygiene, and emergency management
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives
Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, fire code compliance, and ISO 45001
Desirable requirements
Demonstrated expertise in technical HSE disciplines
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Professional certification such as ASP/CSP, CIH, CHMM
