Role Summary The Process Engineer will design, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to deliver the highest quality battery cells. This role is hands-on with a focus on process stability, recipe optimization, and improving productivity, yield, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
We are seeking both Level II Engineers (3–7 years’ experience) and Senior Engineers (7+ years’ experience), depending on your background and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze production and quality data to recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Optimize process parameters using DOE (Design of Experiments) and other technical methodologies.
Maintain and improve process specifications, PFMEA, process flow diagrams, and control plans.
Lead or contribute to New Product Introduction and process changes.
Collaborate with operators and engineers to troubleshoot production issues.
Develop and train operators on standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Support audits and compliance with safety, environmental, and fire regulations.
Qualifications
Battery experience – this doesn’t have to be extensive, and it can be from a research project during education or during work experience, but some grounding in batteries is required
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or similar related field required; MS/MBA preferred.
Level II: 3–7 years’ experience in process engineering or similar
Senior: 7+ years’ experience in process engineering or similar
Six Sigma certification preferred.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
