The Role The Application Engineer will be a key technical partner to the sales team, preparing timely and accurate commercial proposals and technical specifications for large motor and drive system projects. This role involves defining competitive and commercially viable technical solutions, collaborating with clients, vendors, and internal engineering teams, and ensuring proposals align with both technical requirements and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare technical specifications for medium- and high-voltage motors and AC/DC drive systems to meet client RFQ requirements.
Lead technical and commercial proposal development for small to mid-sized projects with limited supervision.
Translate client needs into viable technical solutions in partnership with engineering and suppliers.
Develop detailed cost elements for proposals, ensuring competitive and profitable outcomes.
Evaluate supplier proposals to determine the best technical and economic fit for each application.
Provide technical guidance in proposal preparation and presentations to clients.
Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and new technologies to refine product and service solutions.
Deliver technical presentations at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
The Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent education/experience).
2+ years’ systems or application engineering experience with medium-voltage drives and motor systems.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into clear commercial solutions.
Proven track record of contributing effectively to project teams and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a client-focused approach.
