With strong inbound demand and a rapidly growing project pipeline, the business is adding senior commercial talent to lead complex transactions and strategic customer relationships.
The Role
This is a senior, customer-facing sales role with ownership of key accounts and end-to-end responsibility for closing distributed energy storage projects, typically under 200 MWh.
You’ll lead deals from initial engagement through contract execution, working directly with sophisticated customers including data center operators, utilities, and large commercial & industrial clients. The role is supported by established internal engineering, finance, and legal teams, allowing you to focus on deal strategy, negotiation, and closure rather than internal friction.
You’ll also act as a mentor and escalation point for associate-level team members, helping shape commercial best practices as the team scales.
What You’ll Do
Own and grow strategic customer relationships across the Distributed Energy segment
Lead the full sales cycle, including commercial strategy, technical diligence, pricing, and contract negotiation
Manage a pipeline of short-, medium-, and long-term opportunities across multiple customer types and markets
Coordinate closely with engineering, finance, legal, and delivery teams to drive successful project outcomes
Guide and support associate-level sales team members on active opportunities
Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and commercial insights to leadership
Represent the business with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders at a senior level
The Candidate
Required:
6+ years of experience in energy storage, renewables, power equipment, or related infrastructure sales
Proven track record closing large, complex commercial contracts
Experience selling to C&I customers, utilities, or data center operators
Strongly valued:
Direct experience with BESS or grid-scale / distributed energy systems
Leadership or mentorship experience within a sales organization
Deep understanding of project economics, pricing structures, and risk allocation
Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder decision-making and long sales cycles
