The Role:
Support the continued growth of the company’s US commissioning function across utility-scale BESS projects, with opportunities available at both Senior Commissioning Manager and Commissioning Engineer level.

The Senior Commissioning Manager will build and lead the US commissioning function from the ground up, owning commissioning standards, procedures, team development, field execution, customer acceptance, and project handover across multiple sites.

The Commissioning Engineer will support hands-on site commissioning activity, including hot and cold commissioning, troubleshooting, system validation, testing, documentation, and handover from construction through to operational readiness.

These roles are critical to the company’s US expansion and will play a key part in ensuring safe, high-quality delivery across major BESS projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead or support commissioning activity across utility-scale BESS projects in the US.
• Execute hot and cold commissioning, including system checks, controls verification, communications testing, charge / discharge testing, troubleshooting, and validation.
• Work across BESS equipment and systems including battery systems, PCS, BMS, EMS, SCADA, controls, communications, and auxiliary systems.
• Verify installation completeness and system readiness before turnover from construction to commissioning.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve commissioning issues across electrical, controls, communications, and system-level interfaces.
• Support performance testing, capacity testing, grid compliance testing, and customer acceptance activity.
• For the Senior Commissioning Manager, build and scale the US commissioning team, including hiring, onboarding, training, standards, procedures, KPIs, resource planning, and team development.

The Candidate

• 5+ years of relevant commissioning, field engineering, power systems, renewable energy, or utility-scale project experience for Commissioning Engineer level.
• 8+ years of relevant commissioning experience for Senior Commissioning Manager level, ideally including utility-scale BESS commissioning and team leadership.
• Strong experience with hot and cold commissioning, troubleshooting, testing, validation, and handover of electrical or energy systems.
• Experience across solar, wind, inverters, PCS, field service, power systems, or utility-scale renewable projects will also be considered.
• Strong technical understanding of BESS systems, ideally including PCS, BMS, EMS, SCADA, controls, communications, grid interconnection, and system-level testing.
• Engineering degree preferred, ideally electrical or mechanical, although strong practical experience will also be considered.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across the US.
