With a 35 plus GWh project pipeline and more than 230 professionals already on board, their U.S. division is scaling fast as they continue developing some of the most advanced Battery Energy Storage Systems in the industry.
The Role
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will support the design and development of electrical systems for grid-scale Battery Energy Storage products within a growing hardware engineering team.
The role focuses on system-level electrical design across high-power equipment and electromechanical systems, contributing to the development of containerized energy storage platforms used in large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Working alongside mechanical engineers and product development teams, you will help design and implement electrical systems that meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements.
You will contribute to system architecture, component selection, engineering documentation, and design verification testing while working within a large internal laboratory environment that allows full-scale testing of integrated energy storage systems.
The role is particularly suited to engineers who understand the interaction between electrical and mechanical systems.
Successful candidates often come from backgrounds where electrical designs must be implemented within physical products, enclosures, or integrated systems.
Responsibilities Include
• Designing electrical systems for battery energy storage products, including power circuits and system-level electrical architecture
• Developing wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering documentation
• Supporting electromechanical system design in accordance with NEC requirements
• Creating and executing design verification test plans and procedures
• Participating in design reviews and technical discussions with engineering teams
• Supporting prototype development, system bring-up, and troubleshooting activities
• Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component selection and integration
• Contributing to the development of technical documentation and end-user materials
• Supporting electrical system validation and performance testing within laboratory environments
The Candidate
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or similar discipline
• 8+ years of experience working with electrical power systems or electromechanical equipment
• Experience designing or working with power equipment such as inverters, drives, power supplies, or similar high-power systems
• Strong understanding of AC power systems including three-phase circuits and transformers
• Experience with DC electrical systems and components
• Ability to create and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience specifying and integrating electrical components within complex systems
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and electrical safety standards
• Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and how electrical designs integrate into physical equipment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to contribute to technical design discussions
Engineers from either electrical or mechanical backgrounds will be considered if they have strong exposure to electrical systems and system-level product development.
