With a 35 plus GWh project pipeline and more than 230 professionals already on board, their U.S. division is scaling fast, and they are now hiring a Sales Engineering Senior Manager to lead the technical sales function supporting some of the largest and most advanced BESS projects in the world.
As Sales Engineering Senior Manager, you will lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for the technical delivery of utility scale battery energy storage solutions during the sales process. This role sits at the center of complex ESS pursuits, overseeing system sizing, technical proposals, contract exhibits, modeling tools, and customer technical engagement.
Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Proposals, Contracts, Legal, and headquarters teams, acting as the senior technical authority throughout the pre sales lifecycle. You will ensure solutions are technically robust, commercially optimized, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements, while shaping how the solutions engineering function operates as the organization continues to scale.
This is a fully remote role with up to 20 percent travel for customer meetings and industry events.
• Leading all technical aspects of the sales engineering function, including system sizing, technical proposals, contract exhibits, and customer technical engagement
• Managing and mentoring a team of sales engineers, setting standards, reviewing outputs, and supporting professional development
• Acting as the primary technical escalation point for customers, EPCs, and internal stakeholders during the sales process
• Coordinating closely with Sales, Engineering, Proposals, and Product teams to ensure alignment on technical deliverables and solution strategy
• Supporting RFP and RFI responses, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and competitiveness
• Reviewing and validating system configurations, technical documentation, and contract exhibits against engineering and commercial objectives
• Contributing to the development and improvement of internal tools, workflows, and technical documentation to support scalable growth
• Participating in customer meetings, presentations, and conferences as a senior technical representative of the business
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or similar
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy storage or a related power industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
• Strong background in utility scale BESS system sizing, technical contracting, and pre sales engineering
• Proven experience leading and developing technical teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and safety considerations within utility scale energy storage projects
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for commercial and non technical audiences
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and cross-functional stakeholders
