The Role:
They are hiring a Senior Field Service Engineer to support utility-scale battery storage systems across installation, commissioning, and long-term service. You'll serve as a key technical contact for both on-site and remote diagnostics, working directly with customer teams and third-party suppliers of complex system components such as inverters, transformers, and HVAC units.
You’ll join a high-performing, mission-driven service team with significant growth potential, set to expand sixfold, and contribute to groundbreaking multi-gigawatt-hour projects that are redefining the future of large-scale energy storage.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing installation support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repair of BESS systems
- Providing live remote technical support and customer training
- Supporting firmware and software upgrades
- Leading communication with customers, contractors, and subcontractors during field work
- Maintaining accurate site records, service logs, and feedback to improve support documentation
- The role offers a target bonus of 10% with potential to go up to 17.5%
The Candidate:
- 3+ years of experience in field service, ideally in energy storage, power electronics, or electrical infrastructure
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation
- Familiarity with test equipment, networking protocols (TCP/IP), and basic software tools
- A valid driver’s license
- BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
