The role We’re hiring a Director of Solutions Engineering to lead presales and system architecture for utility-scale BESS projects in North America. This role will manage a small team of Solutions Engineers and act as the senior technical voice with customers helping to define the technical roadmap.
Lead and scale the Solutions Engineering function for utility-scale BESS in North America
Serve as the primary technical interface for strategic customers, including integrators, IPPs, and owners
Translate customer needs into optimized technical solutions, influencing both commercial strategy and product roadmap
Collaborate closely with internal teams including R&D, engineering, and product development
Mentor and grow a team of Solutions Engineers, with an initial team of 3
Identify market trends and emerging needs to inform future system development
Candidate Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrochemistry, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in energy storage or closely related sectors
Deep understanding of the North American ESS market, including utility-scale deployment
Proven ability to lead technical discussions in customer-facing contexts; strong presales experience preferred
Experience managing technical teams or mentoring engineers
Strong technical background in BESS architecture, including system integration and performance optimization
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach and comfort in high-growth, dynamic environments
