The Role
As a Sr. Manager in Production, you will lead a team of over 300 employees, including salaried staff, operators, and technicians across multiple high-volume production lines. This is a mission critical role responsible for driving production excellence, managing operations in a 24/7 facility, and ensuring that teams consistently deliver quality output at scale. The position reports to the Electrode Department Leader and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams across Quality, Technology, Equipment, and Inspection.
This is a highly demanding role requiring full commitment and availability. Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day production operations across multiple automated lines
- Manage and mentor a team of ~300 employees across shifts
- Ensure site cleanliness and organization in line with 5S3R standards (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain | Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)
- Monitor KPIs, drive OEE improvements, and lead production planning activities
- Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement corrective actions using 8D methodology
- Manage consumables, spare parts, and repair costs to maintain manufacturing readiness
- Ensure production targets are met with high quality and cost efficiency
- Lead weekly quality review meetings and ensure cross-functional alignment
- Own the hiring, training, evaluation, and development of SPVs, crew leaders, and hourly workers
- Conduct Layered Process Audits and foster continuous improvement at all levels
- Maintain timekeeping, scheduling, and labor planning responsibilities
