The Company
This U.S.-based leader in grid-scale battery storage is positioned to become one of the most significant companies in the American energy market. Backed by a global clean energy organization, they combine advanced engineering expertise with large-scale manufacturing capability and a rapidly expanding domestic footprint. With a major installed base, a growing pipeline of utility-scale projects, and dozens of new sites expected to come online over the next several years, the U.S. operation is continuing to scale and is now hiring a Warranty Specialist to support the reliability and performance of its growing BESS fleet.
The Role
This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a technically strong Warranty Specialist to support large-scale battery energy storage projects across the U.S.
The role sits within the Warranty team and acts as one of the first technical points of contact when customers raise issues across operational BESS sites. You will receive and validate warranty claims, review system data, troubleshoot issues remotely, communicate directly with customers, and determine the correct path to resolution.
This is not a traditional administrative warranty position. The role requires someone with strong electrical and technical knowledge who can interpret data, understand what is happening across the wider system, and determine whether an issue sits within the battery system or with another component such as HVAC, chillers, pumps, or third-party equipment.
You will work closely with Engineering, Field Service, vendors, and customers to escalate technical issues, coordinate actions, follow open claims through to completion, and help ensure systems return to full operation as quickly as possible. The wider objective is not only to resolve individual claims, but to identify repeat issues, protect fleet reliability, and maximize system uptime across a rapidly growing portfolio.
The role is remote with approximately 25% travel to project sites primarily located within Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, and surrounding states.
Responsibilities Include:
• Receiving, reviewing, and validating warranty claims from utility-scale BESS customers
• Performing remote troubleshooting and technical data analysis to identify likely root causes
• Determining whether issues sit within the battery system or associated third-party equipment
• Responding directly to customers and providing clear technical updates and action plans
• Escalating issues to Engineering, Field Service, and external vendors where required
• Following open claims through to resolution and ensuring actions are completed on time
• Identifying recurring problems and helping prevent similar issues across the wider fleet
• Supporting occasional site visits where direct technical investigation is required
The Candidate
The organization is looking for someone who combines strong technical troubleshooting ability with customer-facing and administrative skills.
The strongest candidates will bring:
• Previous experience within utility-scale BESS, ideally 2+ years
• A strong electrical or electronic technical background
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and interpreting operational data
• Field experience across BESS, utility-scale solar, wind, inverters, or similar high-voltage infrastructure
• Confidence reading electrical drawings and diagnosing technical faults
• Strong customer communication skills and the ability to manage demanding technical conversations
• The ability to coordinate multiple teams and drive actions through to completion
• A strong understanding of the importance of uptime, reliability, and fleet-wide impact
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline preferred
• Strong Practical Field Experience may be considered in place of a degree in some cases
