The Role
As Engineer II, Utility, you will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted utility services across this rapidly scaling gigafactory. From compressed air to HVAC, you'll manage the systems that keep production humming working at the intersection of operations, maintenance, and engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operation, maintenance, and repair of all utility systems, including electrical, compressed air, steam, water, and HVAC.
- Monitor energy usage, optimize utility efficiency, and manage budgets to reduce costs while maintaining peak facility performance.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for utility-related issues; implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support long-term planning for utility capacity and infrastructure improvements.
- Select and oversee external vendors and contractors for repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Negotiate service contracts and ensure delivery standards meet operational expectations.
- Coordinate emergency responses to ensure production continuity and mitigate risks.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including utility performance reports, work orders, and compliance logs.
- Regularly report system status and improvement opportunities to senior management.
- Uphold a clean and safe working environment aligned with 5S3R workplace standards.
Essential Skills
- 3+ years of experience managing utilities or facilities systems in a plant or production environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, and capable of working in PPE for extended periods (up to 12 hours/day).
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as stooping, bending, and standing for long durations.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and facility operations tools.
Preferred Skills
- PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) exposure
- Six Sigma or DOE (Design of Experiments) experience
- Familiarity with CAD software and/or coding
- Bilingual in Korean/English is a plus
