The Role:
They are hiring a Field Service Engineer to support utility-scale battery storage systems across installation, commissioning, and long-term service. You'll serve as a key technical contact for both on-site and remote diagnostics, working directly with customer teams and third-party suppliers of complex system components such as inverters, transformers, and HVAC units. You’ll join a high-performing, mission-driven service team with significant growth potential, set to expand sixfold, and contribute to groundbreaking multi-gigawatt-hour projects that are redefining the future of large-scale energy storage. Responsibilities include:
Performing installation support, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective repair of BESS systems
Providing live remote technical support and customer training
Supporting firmware and software upgrades
Leading communication with customers, contractors, and subcontractors during field work
Maintaining accurate site records, service logs, and feedback to improve support documentation
The Candidate:
3+ years of experience in field service, ideally in energy storage, power electronics, or electrical infrastructure
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation
Familiarity with test equipment, networking protocols (TCP/IP), and basic software tools
A valid driver’s license
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience
