Our client is a global leader in lithium-ion battery technology, supplying advanced battery solutions to the automotive and energy storage sectors. As investment across North America continues, their Holland, Michigan facility remains a key manufacturing hub supporting the future of electric mobility.

To support continued growth, they are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join the leadership team and partner closely with operations in delivering a best-in-class employee experience across a large-scale manufacturing environment.

The Role

As HR Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering both strategic and operational HR initiatives across the Holland manufacturing facility.

You'll partner with manufacturing leaders to support workforce planning, employee relations, performance management and organisational development, while helping to build a high-performing, engaged workforce capable of supporting the company's continued growth.

Working within a global organisation, you'll collaborate regularly with colleagues across North America and overseas headquarters, ensuring HR practices align with both local business needs and global standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing and business leaders to deliver strategic HR support across the site.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management and workforce planning.
  • Support leadership development, succession planning and talent management initiatives.
  • Coach managers through employee and organisational challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment legislation.
  • Support organisational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global HR teams and overseas headquarters on wider people initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention across a large manufacturing workforce.
  • Analyse HR metrics and identify opportunities to improve organisational performance.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of Human Resources experience.
  • Experience within automotive, battery manufacturing or Tier 1 automotive suppliers.
  • Experience supporting a large-scale manufacturing or industrial operation.
  • Strong employee relations and HR business partnering capability.
  • Experience working within an international organisation and collaborating closely with overseas headquarters.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. employment law and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
