The Role
As Senior Product Manager, Data Center Hardware, you will lead the development of a new hardware platform designed for AI data center environments.
You will define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, working closely with engineering, sales, operations, and customer stakeholders to take the product from early concept through qualification, launch, field deployment, and volume production.
The role requires someone who can combine a strong engineering foundation with product judgment and commercial awareness. You will engage directly with hyperscalers, colocation providers, and data center operators to understand requirements across power density, cooling, electrical infrastructure, and physical deployment, then translate those requirements into clear product specifications.
This is an opportunity to build a new industrial product category from the ground up and influence both the technical direction and long-term market strategy.

Responsibilities Include:
• Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a new AI data center hardware platform
• Leading product development from concept through design, qualification, launch, deployment, and sustaining engineering
• Translating customer, market, and technical requirements into clear product specifications
• Engaging directly with hyperscalers, colocation providers, and data center operators
• Evaluating system-level tradeoffs across power distribution, thermal management, cooling, and physical infrastructure
• Driving rapid product iteration and making informed decisions in a high-speed development environment
• Working with engineering teams across hardware, software, manufacturing, and operations
• Supporting product positioning, commercial strategy, and go-to-market planning
• Developing technical documentation, customer-facing materials, and product requirements
• Communicating product direction clearly to senior technical and executive stakeholders

The Candidate
• Strong understanding of data center hardware, power infrastructure, cooling systems, or adjacent industrial products
• Background may include product management, engineering, applications engineering, technical business development, or solutions engineering
• Experience working with systems such as UPS, PDU, busway, liquid cooling, thermal management, rack infrastructure, or related technologies
• Engineering degree required, with an MBA considered beneficial
• Ideally brings hands-on engineering experience before moving into a product-focused role
• Comfortable operating in high-ambiguity environments and building products with limited precedent
• Strong communicator who can handle detailed technical questioning and engage credibly with customers, engineers, and senior leadership
• Experience with industrial B2B products and customer-driven product development
• Willing to work from Palo Alto, California
