The Role
As Senior Product Manager, Medium Voltage Systems, you will own the transformers and switchgear integrated within a next-generation utility-scale energy and power platform.
You will define the product strategy, roadmap, technical requirements, and performance targets for medium-voltage equipment connecting at 34.5 kV. Working closely with engineering, sales, operations, supply chain, and project teams, you will help develop reliable, safe, and cost-competitive MV solutions for deployment across global markets.
The position is open to experienced product managers as well as technically strong applications engineers, sales engineers, or electrical engineers who bring meaningful MV expertise and are ready to take broader ownership of product direction.

Responsibilities Include:
• Owning the product strategy and roadmap for MV transformers and switchgear
• Defining technical requirements based on customer needs, utility standards, interconnection requirements, and market feedback
• Acting as the internal subject-matter expert for MV equipment, protection systems, and utility integration
• Partnering with hardware engineering teams to improve product reliability, safety, performance, and cost
• Supporting product development from early concept through launch and commercialization
• Working with global sales teams to understand regional requirements and define product configurations
• Developing technical documentation, product datasheets, application guides, and training materials
• Monitoring competitor products and utility interconnection trends to inform roadmap decisions

The Candidate
• Strong experience with medium-voltage transformers, switchgear, protection systems, or substation design
• Knowledge of protection relay coordination, substation automation, and grid interconnection requirements
• Background may include product management, applications engineering, sales engineering, electrical engineering, or technical project development
• Candidates from OEMs, EPCs, developers, IPPs, or customer-side organizations will be considered
• Experience with technically advanced power products such as inverters, solar, BESS, or integrated energy systems is particularly relevant
• Able to translate complex engineering and regulatory requirements into clear product decisions
• Strong communicator who can engage effectively with engineering, commercial, project, and executive stakeholders
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
• Experience working across multiple utility or regulatory environments is beneficial
• Willing to work from Palo Alto, California
