Market leader with multi-billion dollar annual revenue in N America battery storage industry. The team doubled their revenue last year and will deploy dozens of gigawatt hours of BESS this year. Incredibly financially strong company with multiple gigafactories planned.

The role:
Key technical member of commercial team contributing to BESS projects through initiation, RFP, sizing, optimization, and contracting. Key tasks:
  • Identify best commercial and technical fit for customers’ BESS solutions in North and South America
  • Develop deep understanding of technology and provide sales team technical & financial modelling and product configuration guidance
  • Lead discussions with customer and internal teams to outline preliminary design
  • Negotiate technical contracts with customer in partnership with sales team
  • Contribute to market entry planning, product roadmap, and new feature development
  • Stay current on tariffs and market mechanisms to inform and update modelling processes
  • Assist in the development of sales tools and support materials
  • Mentor team members

The candidate:
  • BESS experience at C&I and/or Utility scale
  • Technical knowledge in integrated battery energy storage system offerings, including: hardware (battery, inverter, thermal, controller), software, and service
  • Degree in technical discipline or equivalent technical experience 
  • Open to various company backgrounds including OEM, developer, owner, consulting, EPC, and utility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Preferred requirements:
  • Technical contracting experience 
  • Technoeconomic analysis experience 
  • Experience being key technical contact for utility, IPP, or developer customers, or working for one of these customers in a supplier facing role 
  • Knowledge in fire safety and cyber security
