Role Summary The Sr. Manager, Production will lead the Cell Assembly team through pre-production and ramp-up, setting up advanced equipment, creating manufacturing processes, and establishing training systems.
Once production begins (around 1 year), you will oversee three production lines, ensuring yield, OEE, and output targets are met.
You will coach and develop managers, supervisors, and engineers while collaborating cross-functionally with process, equipment, and quality leaders to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead pre-production activities: equipment setup, process creation, and training system development.
Oversee three production lines once mass production begins (~250+ people across shifts).
Build, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and engineers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, equipment, quality, EH&S, HR) to optimize production performance.
Drive continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and training systems.
Organize and execute workforce planning, hiring, retention, evaluations, and promotions.
Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations in accordance with 5S3R standards.
Report on production KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery) and implement improvement actions.
Essential Requirements
Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in production/plant environments preferred.
Minimum 3 years leading multiple production processes and teams.
Strong leadership, coaching, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in PPE, manage production operations, and drive change at scale.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required (strong preference)
Experience in advanced manufacturing environments such as battery, electrochemical, automotive, or semiconductor production.
Six Sigma certification and/or DOE experience.
CAD and coding experience.
Experience working with overseas engineering or R&D teams.
