The role You will lead the design and development of AC and DC system solutions for energy storage, bridging technical execution with strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration. This high-impact role focuses on delivering integrated, scalable, and compliant BESS products.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business and technical requirements into system-level design goals.
Lead integration and optimization of PCS, transformers, EMS, and controls.
Align product roadmaps with engineering and business objectives.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure design consistency and scalability.
Define requirements for turnkey containerized or skid-mounted BESS.
Conduct system simulations (e.g., power flow, short-circuit, dynamic modeling).
Evaluate third-party equipment for compliance and performance.
Develop SLDs, schematics, and support reliability and failure analysis.
Ensure compliance with UL, IEC, NFPA, and other standards.
Engage vendors and partners on integration and validation efforts.
Requirements
Degree qualified in electrical engineering or in another engineering discipline with hands-on electrical experience
5+ years’ experience in power and renewable energy
Experience in ESS or inverter product development
Utility-scale renewable energy experience preferred; C&I considered
Experience in design and modeling tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or PSCAD
Other useful technical experience includes grid interconnection, balance of plant systems such as transformers, control systems, and communication protocols
